This apartment is entered directly from The Royal Mile, just next door to the famous John Knox House. This perticular property has 2 large bedrooms. 1 double and 1 large twin room. The lounge is spacious enough to offer a double sofa bed if required to take the occupancy up to a maximum of 6 adults comfortably.

Lounge

This apartment benefits from a very bright spacious lounge with large windows overlooking The Royal Mile. The lounge has a double sofa bed, single futon and fire place. The lounge also has a dining area recessed into the rear of the room, with oak table and seating for 6.

Double Room

Small Double room located to quietly to the rear of the property.

Twin Bedroom

This delightful room has 2 full size single beds, double height wardrobe with built in drawers. Our double room has a queensize bed, built in wardrobe / drawers and views to the rear of the property.

Kitchen

Although when staying on Edinburgh's Royal Mile the vast selection of fine dinning, traditional and contemporary restaurants are literally on your doorstep, we have insured that our kitchen is fully equipped for your convenience.

Bathroom

The bathroom of this property is of a good size and has the benefit not only of a full size bath with shower taps but also a seperatte shower cubicle. Clean, simple 3 piece bathroom suite.

Despite being located on Royal Mile it is pretty quiet. Good apartment with plenty of space, good beds and well equipped kitchen. The owner is very good let us to use the apartment as soon as it was cleaned, before 3pm.

This apartment is great for location, everything is at most 15 walk away. Jon was very helpful and I definitely would stay here again as it is worked out cost effective staying as a family of 5 adults.

We stayed here for 2 nights at the end of June. The accomodations were superbly clean with ample sleeping and living space. The cobblestone street of the Royal Mile is literally on its doorstep! Checking in was so simple with Jon meeting us and giving a brief review of the wonderful city of Edinburgh and what it had to offer. We'd definately stay here again.

"Great Location"

A group of six of us stayed at the John Knox apartment in July 2011. We requested an earlier check in time which was granted thanks to Jon. On arrival Jon was friendly and helpful. The location was perfect, short walk from Waverley train station and Princes Street. There was ample space in the apartment which was well equipped and clean. Although the location was great, there was some noise at night from the traffic outside. Would definitely recommend and would go back!

"Right in the action!"

A group of friends stayed here for a couple of nights during the festival. We've rented many apartments over the years and have never had one so close to all of the action at the festival. This meant that we could return to eat/rest throughout our busy schedule. In addition, the owner was very helpful in allowing us to leave our bags at the apartment early, this made the start to our time very easy. The flat was clean and spacious. On the down side, the front bedroom was pretty noisy all through the night and the sofa bed matress wasn't comfy. The kitchen could've done with some cooking utensils. That said, we would definately use this flat again. Helful, freindly service in a great location. :)

"A brilliant location for exploring the city"

The owner of the accommodation was very friendly and helpful, staying in contact with us leading up to our trip and during our journey to ensure that he would be there on our arrival to allow us access to the apartment. The location was great for us, with the castle and Princes Street only a short walk away. It did get a bit noisy at nights, mainly the noise of traffic on the Royal Mile, and was especially noticeable for those sleeping in the front rooms, but we just put the lighter sleepers in the back room and everyone slept well. We had travelled by car, which we parked on the long-stay car park at Waverley Station, but I think next time we might travel by train as we didn't need the car at all once we were there. We had planned to drive to the zoo on our second day, but decided instead to go by bus as we had realised that that would be an easier option. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return to either this property or one of the others owned by InnerCityLets.

I have to admit, it doesnt get much better than this. Perfect location, lovely landlord, real easy going. They made our stay so pleasant. Everything was so easy! They made it so personal, we even got a tour of the city!!

The John Knox apartment is so well located that you needn't hire a car or even take a taxi. If you go out of the back entrance of Waverley Train Station, it's about a 7 minute scenic walk. The location on the Royal Mile affords you access to the best restaurants and pubs and the owner is knowledgeable about both. The flat is true to its Internet presence, which isn't always the case. It's lovely, spacious, modern, clean, and tidy. Each room is comfortably furnished, including a lounge with two sittees and a great view of the city. The kitchen is large, bright and well-equipped and we especially appreciated the well-kept and warm bathroom. Whether your traveling in season or at other times of the year, this flat is a perfect home away from home!
