Edinburgh prepares to host another spectacular New Year festival. Edinburgh Hogmanay 2013 which begins on the 30th of December 2012.

Edinburgh Hogmanay 2013 begins with the famous Torchlight Procession on December 30th… This event sees thousands of people carrying a flaming torch from the historic Royal Mile to the Son et Lumiére and fireworks finale on Calton Hill.

Throughout the 4 day event there are many exciting activities with the main Hogmanay street party bringing more than 100,000 revellers to Princes Street.

UKIPT EDINBURGH 2013

Edinburgh’s Balmoral Hotel plays host to the 2013 UK & IRELAND Poker Tour (UKIPT)

The historic city of Edinburgh will once again host the Scottish leg of this prestigious poker tournament which runs from January 17th to 21st 2013.

The success of the 2011 event has seen the venue move from the Corn Exchange at the West end of the city right into the heart of the historic capital in no better a venue than the 5 star luxurious Balmoral Hotel. The hotel is located right on Princes Street towering over many of Edinburgh’s leading luxury department stores.

This 4 day event is set to be even bigger and better than last time with a guaranteed prize pool of £250,000!!
