The popular Bupa Great Edinburgh Run will move from its traditional date in May to Sunday 2 October 2011, making it the perfect goal to keep you running in 2011.

We have 30 years experience of organising great running events, we organise the world’s biggest half marathon the Bupa Great North Run so you can be assured of fantastic atmosphere, great sense of achievement and exceptional organisation.

There was an electric atmosphere in 2010 as 10,000 runners welcomed the Bupa Great Edinburgh Run to its new home, which started and finished in the beautiful surroundings of Holyrood Park, Edinburgh.

Thousands of runners of all abilities enjoyed a beautiful day in the Scottish Capital which provided near perfect running conditions for all taking part.

The 10km route captures many of Edinburgh’s most famous historic attractions and is regarded by many as one of the most scenic city centre running events in the world as it passes Edinburgh Castle, the famous cobbles of the Royal Mile, The Scottish Parliament Building.
