The perfect sanctuary for relaxation in the middle of the city! This comfortable apartment is conveniently situated in the heart of the UNESCO historic centre, and is also only a short, one minute walk downhill from the famous Royal Mile. All the main sites and experiences of the Royal Mile, St Giles Cathedral and Edinburgh Castle are practically on the doorstep! The apartment is south facing, and looks out onto a sunny courtyard area, which is only accessible by foot, therefore the hustle and bustle of the city centre can be left behind.

The apartment is ideally located for the many other special events that are organised in the city throughout the year such as the Edinburgh Festival, Edinburgh International Tattoo, and the Famous New Year Celebrations. Also within easy walking distance are many of Edinburgh's tourist attractions such as Edinburgh Castle, Mary King's Close, the National Museum/Art Gallery of Scotland, Edinburgh Dungeon, Scots Monument, and Holyrood Palace.

We also welcome students and families who are visiting students at any of Edinburgh's Universities. Please note maximum stays of up to 28 days.

PARKING: Being in the very heart of the city centre we advise guests not to bring cars into the centre of Edinburgh (note we are in a Low Emission Zone so charges may occur for older cars). We encourage guests to use the park and ride facilities just outside of Edinburgh. Pre bookable car parking is available in Blackfriars Street Car Park (operated by Radisson Blue Hotel on Royal Mile).

TRANSPORT:
Good bus links, plentiful taxis and tram service nearby mean the apartment is well connected to all parts of the city, including Edinburgh Airport, Waverley and Haymarket train stations, plus Leith Shore.

Comfortable Bedroom: A double-sized bed suitable for 2 guests with small, built in wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside tables. There is also a sofa bed in the living room which provides a further option if guests wish to sleep in separate rooms.

The apartment is set out on one level on the ground floor. Accessed from a pedestrianised square via a clearly marked and easy to find private front door, guests arrive into a comfortable and relaxing lounge/kitchen. The lounge area has a sofabed, TV, as well as dining table and chairs ... perfect for relaxing after a long day exploring Edinburgh! There is also a well-stocked, contemporary kitchen area with microwave, electric hob and oven, fridge, freezer and a washing machine. A small hall area leads on to the modern bathroom with double, enclosed shower, sink and toilet. A separate door from the hallway leads to the double bedroom which has a small built-in wardrobe, a chest of drawers and bedside tables.

Both the building, and the apartment have been recently completely refurbished. The apartment is situated in a quiet, south facing, pedestrianised square, so is generally very peaceful. There is a children's nursery school to the rear of the building, so sometimes the children are outside playing.

From Waverley Train Station, walk up Cockburn Street, and turn right onto the Royal Mile. Walk uphill for a couple minutes until you see 3 red phone boxes. On the left there will be a sign for Festival Fringe Box office. Go through the arch to walk down Old Assembly Close. Towards the bottom of the close it becomes a little steeper but there are hand rails on both sides. Tron Square is on your left. No. 16A is immediately to the right of No 16 (make sure you are at the right door). There is a key safe to the left of the door. Instructions will be sent to you separately.

If arriving by Taxi during the day, ask to be dropped off at St Giles Cathedral, and then walk downhill until you see 3 red phone boxes. On the right there will be a sign for Festival Fringe Box office. Go through the arch to walk down Old Assembly Close. If arriving to Edinburgh Airport, you can take either the Tram and get off at either Princes Street or St Andrew Square, Or you can use the Airlink 100 bus to St Andrew Square. From St Andrew Square, walk back towards Edinburgh Waverley Station and walk up Cockburn Street to the Royal Mile. From Princes Street, Walk up The Mound, and when you get to the top, turn left onto Royal Mile, and follow directions above from St Giles Cathedral.
